Zamasu is a key antagonist in the "Future Trunks Saga" of the Dragon Ball Super anime series, first appearing in episode 53.
Originally the North Kai of Universe 10, and later Supreme Kai apprentice, Zamasu harbored a deep-seated distrust and hatred for mortals, viewing them as violent and unworthy of existence. This belief stemmed from witnessing their destructive tendencies despite the gods' attempts to guide them.
Driven by his distorted sense of justice, Zamasu ultimately sought to eradicate all mortals, believing this was the only way to achieve true peace and order in the universe. He employed various methods to accomplish his goals, including stealing Goku's body to become Goku Black and forging an alliance with his future self.
